Lotus Families is a small locally operated charity specialising in providing preventative and recovery domestic abuse support to women, children and families.
Our Services:
Domestic Abuse Recovery Group: For women (born female at birth, 16+) who have experienced intimate partner violence, are now safe and ready to start their recovery journey.
Lotus Blossom Peer Support Group: Online peer support group for women.
CAPVA (Child/Adolescent to Parent Violence/Abuse) Programme: For parents/carers experiencing violence or abuse from their child (aged 8-17).
Managing Money Safely in a Relationship Webinar: To help women protect their money in relationships and to avoid being financially abused.
TNBI (Trans, Non-Binary and Intersex) IDVA Service for Victim-Survivors from Domestic Abuse: One-to-one tailored IDVA support for transgender women and men, and non-binary and intersex people.
Why do you support the Living Wage?
Lotus's CEO and trustees recognise that the National (Living) Wage does not take into account the cost of living. We believe that our valued staff - and all people - should not have have to work multiple jobs to make ends meet as it forces them to spend less time with their families, lowers their quality of life, makes them less productive at work and damages their physical and mental health. We realise we need to embody the changes we want to see in the world. Taking a stand will put pressure on other charities, businesses and government to do the same.
